Giselle

Giselle is a collaborative film project between the New Zealand Film Commission and the Royal New Zealand Ballet. 

Filming of Giselle commenced in October/November 2012 in the lead up to  the ballet's premiere in Wellington on 7 November, ahead of a seven centre tour.   

Ethan Stiefel, recently retired world renowned Principal Dancer of the American Ballet Theatre, co-choreographed and produced Giselle the ballet with Johan Kobborg, the internationally acclaimed Principal Dancer of London’s Royal Ballet. 

Giselle premiered at the 2013 New Zealand International Film Festival.
